Are you wanting to switch over to cleaner, non toxic skincare and haircare products, but don’t know where to start? True Botanicals is one of my clean go-to beauty brands for both skincare and haircare. I think it’s one of the easier brands to switch to when you are transitioning from more mainstream products. You won’t be missing your old brands when you smell these amazing and beautiful potions and lotions. Plus, True Botanicals products work. They have award winning products and clinical studies to show the results. Even comparing their products to the popular Crème de La Mer.
True Botanicals Skincare & Haircare

My True Botanicals Skincare & Haircare Favorites:
True Botanical’s Renew Nourishing Cleanser
I get so excited to wash my face at night with this stuff. It’s the most gentle, creamy, luxurious cleanser that smells divine. My nose goes straight towards the subtle jasmine, but it’s a mix of grapefruit, lavender, vetiver and jasmine. I’m extremely sensitive to synthetic fragrances and those that over power, so if this is you, I promise the scent is so light and lovely. The cleanser removes makeup without stripping away any moisture. I have dryer skin, so the Renew Collection is my favorite, but if you are more oily or acne prone, I would suggest the Clear line of their products. UPDATE: Their new calm ginger turmeric cleansing balm is amazing.
True Botanical’s Resurfacing Moisture Mask
If you want to GLOW, buy this. Seriously. It’s like a facial in a jar. It’s an exfoliator and moisturizer in one. I put it on (a few days a week) after washing my face, let it sit for 5 minutes and then remove it with a lukewarm washcloth. It leaves my complexion glowing, more even toned and so much brighter. Every serum or oil goes on that much better after it too. You also need less product when your face is consistently exfoliated and moisturized.
Note: They updated to an even better formula. The substance looks orange in the jar now.
True Botanicals Renew Chebula Active Immunity Serum
This is a newer True Botanicals skincare product, but I’m already loving it. I killed my skin a few months ago by using a Tinkle Razor across my cheeks and neck to remove little hairs. Clearly I was too rough with it. I didn’t have enough oil on my skin to glide it across nicely and it left me with some nice marks. Anyways, I think I can thank this Chebula Serum for improving my skin on those cheeks. I still have marks, but they are slowly fading. The serum feels like a really light hydrating liquid.
Chebula has a strong history of use in Ayurvedic Medicine for strengthening and nourishing the body. Chebula is known as one of the most bioactive, photostable, broad spectrum, cascading antioxidants, with ORAC scores higher than Acai. It only recently was obtained for topical use via an innovative and safe water-based extraction process. In this serum, Chebula helps to address five signs of aging while maintaining hydration and helping to support skin exposed to blue light and pollution.

True Botanicals Vitamin C Booster
I mix this in whatever daytime serum/oil I am using a few times a week. It’s been getting mixed in with the Chebula Serum this summer. It’s a potent Vitamin C powder for the skin and helps reduce dark spots. It seems pricey, but the bottle lasts FOREVER. Like a few years for me 🤣 I think the potency is still there since it’s in powder form, but I need to push the petal to the metal on this bottle. If my skin looks extra good in the next few months, it might be because I put the remaining 1/3 bottle on my face.
True Botanical’s Renew Pure Radiance Oil
True Botanicals Renew Pure Radiance Oil is True Botanical’s #1 best seller. I think this might have been my very first “grown up” oil I ever purchased. Although I stray from it here and there since I do like to change up oils and scents, it’s one I always return to. It contains the motherload of beautiful, healthy oils. You just feel like you are doing something good for your skin when you put it on. It’s anti-aging, reduces fine lines, and gives you so much moisture. Again, I have dryer/normal skin. If you have oily/acne prone skin, check out the Clear version of this oil.
True Botanical’s Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner
My hair is thick, dry and wavy/curly. This set works wonders for my hair. I apply a small amount of shampoo to my wet hair and rub around root to tip, rinse and then apply a little more and scrub around. There is not much of a lather that first shampoo with my thick hair, but the second application lathers up nicely. I rinse it out and then apply the conditioner from my neck down. The conditioner soaks in for a good 5 minutes prior to rinsing while I shave. I let it soak so I don’t have to use as much conditioner to moisturize my hair – saves $. Plus, I only wash my hair once a week and on rare occasion twice.
I also LOVE that True Botanicals has a Subscribe & Save option on their products making it more affordable. The subscription includes 15% off, free shipping and a good size sample of another product with each shipment. You determine how often you want your shipment and can cancel at anytime.
