The Best Natural Moisturizers

September 16, 2021

Natural Moisturizer for face, dry skin, oily skin, and body.

With the dryer weather approaching, I thought I would share the best natural moisturizers I use out of my current stash. I wish I was a girl that moisturized my body every day all year, but I do not. I’m working on that. I can always tell who does though. Their skin looks so much better than mine. 😊 However, this time of year, I usually have no choice or my legs look like a lizard. My skin always looks and feels so much better when I do too. I feel better when I do! Who doesn’t like moisturized skin??

The Best Natural Moisturizers

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil – Cold Pressed & Unrefined

It’s hard to beat coconut oil for me. It’s really the jack of all trades. You can use it for so many things, one being a body moisturizer. I know it’s not for everyone because of the scent, but I love the way it makes my skin feel. I keep a jar under my bed and put it on before bed at night. Although it doesn’t feel that moisturizing going on, you’ll quickly notice more supple and moisturized skin.

This Viva Naturals one is great and I have bought it many times. I now just use the organic virgin coconut oil from Trader Joe’s since it’s cheaper, but just note it is harder to get your hand into the glass jar.

Organic Sweet Almond Oil

This is another oil I use on my body. It feels thicker and less oily going on than coconut oil does. I like using this oil right when I get out of the bath and before I use a lymph drainage tool. Almond oil is also supposed to be great for under eye circles. I need to get on that and see how well it works. Much cheaper than expensive under eye creams.

Dr. Bronner’s Organic Hand & Body Lotion

These lotions are not thick, but they still moisturize enough when your skin is not super dry. The Patchouli Lime has been my “perfume” for years since I skip synthetic fragrances. It’s a hippyish scent, but I love it. It suits me. The peppermint is also great for tired feet and legs.

Mary Ruth’s Hydrating Unscented Hand Cream

I was on the lookout for a new hand cream and this one was highly rated so I bought it. It is a really great natural hand cream. It leaves my hands feeling moisturized, better looking, and I like that it’s unscented. With this said, I tend to like an extra heavy hand cream, so I will still be on the lookout for another brand once my tube runs out. I also like to throw hand cream in my purse and the size is too large for me for that. These might not be deal breakers for you though. Overall, I still highly recommend this hand cream.

Organic Cold-Pressed & Unrefined Jojoba Oil

I cannot write a post about moisturizers without including jojoba oil. I use it on my face as a moisturizer, oil cleanser and makeup remover when I’m not using my expensive skincare. I’ll be using it more come winter too as it’s incredibly moisturizing. This is also my husband’s every day face moisturizer. It’s great for all skin types. (I have normal to dry, and he has oily/acne prone skin.)

It’s a great moisturizer for the body as well. It works great as a carrier oil to use with essentials oils as it has very little natural scent. I will say grab the smaller 4 oz size if you are using it for your face. The larger 16 oz size is still great and perfect for the body as it’s a better bang for your buck, but the consistency seemed more water downed than the 4oz last time I bought it. It could have been just a fluke, but buy the 4oz if you are getting it for your face.

Besides moisturizing, what gets me through dry condo heat and dry winters is the Dyson humidifier. We have had it about 5 years and my super dry skin that came with winter are night and day after getting it. I will say the price has went up a lot since we bought it. Yikes. So if anyone has a great humidifier they like, please comment in the below section for others to see. Thank you!

What’s your favorite natural moisturizers? I would love to hear!

So grateful you are following along! xx, Riane
