What’s in my dried pantry/cabinet. I also have a What’s in my dried pantry/cabinet. I also have a how to stock a healthy pantry post on the blog if you don’t feel like watching this long thing. 😜herhealthystyle.com. Happy Friday! Xx Riane @herhealthystyle
Yesterday’s grocery haul, besides what’s in my Yesterday’s grocery haul, besides what’s in my cabinet. I’ll video my small dried goods cabinet another day. 😊 Tidbits off of the video:Sweet creamy avocado dressing that I made for the roasted carrot, tomato, arugula salad -1/2 avocado1 pitted medjool date 1 lemon1 garlic clove 1 loose tbsp dill1/2 cup + waterBlend all together in a small blender (I used a nutribullet). The fish/meat topic since I’m sure someone will DM me asking. I enjoy wild salmon. I would eat it more often, I truly just don’t think about buying it. It’s more something I eat when I’m out here and there. I’ll eat other fish too when traveling if it sounds good to me at the time, but overall it’s slim. If I lived by a clean deep lake/ocean I would probably have it more. Meat - I could go into depth, but I’ll keep it shortish. Lol. I’ve never been a big meat eater. Besides the 2 years of working with functional doctors who had me on a high protein, low carb diet, I probably ate meat 10 times a year? Always with friends/family/holidays/out to eat. A grilled cheeseburger in the summer was my favorite. Now a grilled portobello mushroom burger does the trick for me… currently. It’s been over 4 years that I’ve cut meat down to 2-3 times a year, this year I had it once, maybe it was twice? I really don’t know where I fully stand with it for MYSELF right now & I’m okay with that. The reason I minimized meat a long time ago was I read that meat ages us. I thought well that’s an easy one to minimize since I don’t want it often anyways. I also learned from food pairing that a meat protein & a carb like a potato/pasta don’t pair well together. Since I’m a fan of a high carb diet (healthy carbs), as I feel it gives us much more energy, this was just another reason that I didn’t eat a lot. NOW: Besides other health and environmental reasons, I now struggle with the animal aspect of it which is why I am at a point where I’m not sure where I stand. I also think a label puts pressure on us, so I keep it unlabeled and I’ll follow where it leads me. & yes, my husband eats more meat than I do (still not much though) and I fully support his choices too. Well, most of them 😉😂Xx Riane
This has been my go-to chia pudding these past few This has been my go-to chia pudding these past few months, so I wanted share this simple recipe with you!CHIA SEEDS HEALTH BENEFITSChia seeds are powerhouse seeds! They are high in Omega 3’s (making them a great brain food), high in fiber (they swell to 10-12 times their size once they soak in liquid), high in antioxidants, and are a well known source to help with fat loss due to their high fiber & ability to help with insulin sensitivity.CONNECT TO THE WHYAlthough chia seeds might take a bit to get used to their gel-like texture, I think the benefits are more than worth it.It always helps to know the benefits of what you are eating. If you connect to the why, it pushes you to keep on trying something. You never know, you might just start enjoying whatever it is one day. I’ve definitely changed my mind about certain foods by continually trying them. Sometimes I just had to change up the way I ate them.1 cup of almond milk3 TBSP chia seeds1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp cardamom 1 TBSP raw honey - more to taste. Serves 1-2.Store in fridge for a minimum of 2-3 hrs. When ready stir well & serve. You may want a drizzle of honey or cinnamon on top as well. Tag me @herhealthystyle if you try this recipe out! I’d love to know! I hope you have a great day! Xx Riane
A reminder for all, including myself. It does not A reminder for all, including myself. It does not matter how healthy we feel right now- if we are not flushing daily toxins out of our body, those unfriendly "things" are circulating within us. Of course we will never get them all out, and each day we are exposed to more, however, it is the accumulation of them that leads to health issues. So let's continually flush them out of us by working on that list above. If the whole list is not feasible right now, that is ok! At least start working on 1,2,& 3! 🥰I also have a post on the blog “11 Ways to Detoxify Your Body” that speaks about each point in further detail. www.herhealthystyle.comThanks for joining me here! Enjoy this new day. 🧡 Xx Riane @herhealthystyle
Things that have helped me with my meditation prac Things that have helped me with my meditation practice that may help you if you are wanting to try it out. 🧘‍♀️ Another thing I forgot to mention is to “get comfortable”. Whether it’s grabbing a blanket to wrap over me, putting on socks or a sweater if I’m cold, or even letting my hair down after working out. There are many days that I still don’t connect and my mind is all over, but what matters is that we try not to judge our practice, but instead keep going with it. The benefits & lighter feeling energy will come. ♥️ Comment below if you have any questions, found this helpful or just want to say hello! Xx Riane @herhealthystyle

Hot Orange Lemon Cinnamon Ginger Tea sweetened wit Hot Orange Lemon Cinnamon Ginger Tea sweetened with honey. It was calling my name tonight. 😊I added 5 slices of orange, 4 slices of lemon, 2 cinnamon sticks, and a 1” chunk of ginger cut into thin strips. Do a little squeeze of some 🍋 or 🍊 too. 🍊Make sure to wash the orange & lemon really well prior, as the peel will be in your tea.🍵Let it steep 15 + minutes. I didn’t want to wait past 15, so I poured my first cup then, but my second cup was even better. 🍯Stir in raw honey right at the end. 🫖I’ll link my teapot in stories, but if you are seeing this late, you can check it out here. https://herhealthystyle.com/the-best-glass-teapot-tea-kettle-storage-more/Sweet dreams 💭or good morning… whenever you see this.
