Pumpkin Seed Protein Shake

This pumpkin seed protein shake makes a quick afternoon snack or lunch if you add in the extras. I like the taste of it without any banana (the nuttiness is more forward), but when I want a creamier consistency or a filling lunch, I’ll add in banana, spinach, and chia seeds.

Pumpkin Seed Protein Shake

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1-2 1/2 cups cold water, 1 without any banana, 1 1/2 cups if using a fresh banana and chia seeds, 2 1/2 if using 2 frozen bananas and chia seeds
  • 2 TBSP pumpkin seed protein powder
  • 1/2 tsp ceylon cinnamon
  • 1-2 Medjool dates
  • 1 TBSP chia seeds
  • optional, 1 tsp lions mane powder – a brain boosting add in
  • optional, banana(s) – fresh or frozen, but I prefer frozen in this one
  • optional, 2 handfuls of spinach when using bananas as well

Method

I personally blend everything except the chia seeds. After, I stir them into my glass or shake it in a jar to make it easier to clean the blender. I wait 15 minutes before drinking so that the chia seeds expand some.

Pumpkin Seed Protein Shake

This pumpkin seed protein shake makes a quick afternoon snack. I like the taste of it without any banana (the nuttiness is more forward), but when I want a creamier consistency or a more filling snack, I’ll add in banana. When I need to turn it into a meal for my husband for work, I add in 2-3 frozen bananas, a handful of spinach if I have it on hand, and an extra cup of water to blend.

Ingredients
  

  • 1- 2 1/2 cups cold water 1 without any banana, 1 1/2 cups if using a fresh banana and chia seeds, 2 1/2 if using 2-3 frozen bananas and chia seeds
  • 2 TBSP Wilderness Poet’s pumpkin seed protein powder*
  • 1/2 tsp ceylon cinnamon
  • 1 -2 dates
  • 1 TBSP chia seeds
  • optional 1 tsp Wilderness Poets lions mane powder – a brain boosting add in
  • optional banana(s) – fresh or frozen, but I prefer frozen in this one
  • optional handful of spinach when using bananas as well

Method
 

  1. Add everything to your blender and blend. Pour it in a glass and let it sit for about 15 minutes until the chia seeds expand some. I personally blend everything but the chia seeds and then stir them into my glass or shake it all in a jar. However, adding it all to the blender might be easier. Enjoy!
