My wellness list has been years in the making. A list of things that help me be the best version of myself.
My Wellness List
8-9 hours of sleep with mouth taping – good sleep repairs cells
Going to bed and waking up around the same time – maintaining a healthy circadian rhythm.
Red light face mask therapy before getting out of bed most days. I swear by this thing.
Starting each day with lemon water and having 96 oz + water daily. We need water more than food and we won’t operate optimally without hydrated cells.
Pausing to start each day with a positive message. In addition to this, practicing gratitude, saying a daily mantra, and when time allows – Meditation.
Living in the day at hand even with future plans/goals/dreams. Truly waking up excited to be alive and start they day.
Daily movement. Walks outside, rebounding (so good for the lymphatic system and brain as well), and a short Yoga/Pilates workout are my go-to types of movement. It took me years to find something I actually enjoyed.
Sunlight – time outside. Nature is healing and so is sunshine in the right doses. Vitamin D.
A green juice most mornings.
Various nutrient dense smoothies – Green Smoothies, Medical Medium’s Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie
Lots of fruit including avocados
Lots of leafy greens & cruciferous veggies
Omega 3’s – chia pudding, flaxseeds or chia seeds in smoothies
More raw than cooked, but always listening to my body.
Mindful eating – Making sure I get a wide array of nutrients in overall. Focusing on foods that bring inflammation down, not increase it.
Herbal teas – nettle, raspberry, burdock, red clover, and dandelion are some of my go-to’s
Dark chocolate and really good coffee when I want it. A clean coffee brand with many clean decafs as well (most decaf contains more chemicals than regular).
Minimal alcohol, but enjoying a glass of wine during the times I want it.
High quality supplements
Gua sha when time
Dry brushing more days than not
Infrared Sauna Blanket 3+ times a week
Nightly Baths with Epsom Salt
Dim lights an hour before bed – no phone/computer or anything stimulating. I’m not an advocate for watching TV up until bedtime, but I often turn on Golden Girls as soon as I get into bed. It’s not one that stimulates my brain. Ha In fact, it makes me feel extra calm before lights out.
Nightly Castor Oil Liver Pack
Minimal scrolling on social media – I mostly post and get right back off after answering questions in my DM’s.
LOVE & supportive relationships
Creating a beautiful home that brings peace & feel-good vibes. Our surroundings having a major impact on our mood.
Never aiming for perfection, but rather consistency.
Remaining flexible, not rigid.
Forever learning.
Staying open-minded.
Enjoying at working on being the best version of myself.
Enjoying more, having fun, laughter – including laughing at myself, and remaining light-hearted.
