Fall is here and so is the dryer air. The drop in temperature along with turning the heat on tends to dry out our skin. Enter my nightly ultra hydrating skincare – Apoterra’s Vitamin C Regenerative Balm. It’s ultra moisturizing and packed with over 21 amazing skin improving ingredients, including Vitamin C, which really brightens our skin. Normally it takes a bit to notice if skincare is doing anything, but I honestly woke up with a noticeable glow (way after the product sunk in) the first time I put it on. I can’t say enough good things about it. If I could only buy one nicer skincare product for winter to use alongside my extra affordable oils like jojoba, this would be it. It’s also great for the under eye area. Also, a little goes a long way with this one.
Scent: It has a faint warming feel and soft patchouli scent that I find so beautiful. Don’t worry, if patchouli isn’t your thing, the scent fades quickly.
Consistency: It’s a very thick balm so I generally use it at nighttime.
Some Key Ingredients In The Balm: Vitamin C of course, Rosehip oil, Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil, CoQ10, Prickly Pear Seed Oil, Pomegranate Oil, Cupuacu Butter – It’s a waterless concentrate with over 21 active botanicals. We are not paying for anything but the good stuff.
Struggling with dry skin, uneven complexion, fine lines, wrinkles, or just that glow and oomph that we want? Check out Apoterra’s Vitamin C Regenerative Balm for sure. Code herhealthystyle saves 15%
Apoterra’s Neroli Complexion Clarifying Mist
Before you peek at the balm, I also want to highlight Apoterra’s Neroli Complexion Clarifying Mist. I’ve been using it at night before I apply the Vitamin C balm. I wash my face with jojoba oil, mist with the Neroli, and moisturize with the Vitamin C Balm.
“Nicknamed “liquid gold” by customers, this hydrating mist is your congestion clearing, dullness ditching, vibrant skin pick-me-up.” I couldn’t describe it better, so I quoted the bottle.
Scent: Neroli and immortelle are the top two scents. It smells unique and beautiful. It reminds me of an unclean face polish I loved a long time ago.
Consistency: I find that the spray comes out a little concentrated vs a really even mist everywhere. After I spray my face, I somewhat pat it down everywhere with my hands and then apply the Vitamin C Balm to my damp skin. Damp skin also helps improve absorption of the skincare that follows. You could also spray your hands first, rub them together, and then pat it on your face with your fingers. Another option, add a little Vitamin C Balm to your hand, spray the balm, and then somewhat rub the two together and apply to your face.
If you peak around on Apoterra’s website, I’ve also been enjoying the Rose & Amyris Grounding Body Oil. “Grounding” really is the best term for it. Shop Apoterra: code herhealthystyle saves 15%
Other Skincare Tidbits
My daytime skincare really varies, but I’m mainly using Living Libations Best Skin Ever for my moisturizer right now. It’s a tried and true favorite of mine and I love the seabuckthorn scent.
I also can’t live without my Canopy Humidifier by my bedside each night (I don’t use their oils though…not pure). I wrote a detailed post on the humidifier here. It’s a must for my Fall/Winter skin too!
