Watermelons even when not in season generally yield the most juice / ounce / dollar. So if you need a lot of juice and you are trying to stretch your dollar, this is a great one. This would make a great juice for kids as well a summer party juice. Serve by itself or as a base for mocktails & cocktails. You could always make watermelon popsicles with the juice as well!
Watermelon juice is actually too sweet for my liking by itself, but juiced with 1-2 lemons or limes it’s so good – especially after it’s chilled in the fridge. If I want greens in, I’ll add in a handful of mint or basil in the summertime. I personally cut the skin off of mine, but juice as much of the rind as possible. I also get excited when I get a watermelon with black seeds. Those seeds are packed with nutrients!
