Quick Snickers Date Bites

October 14, 2024

Quick Snickers Date Bites

When you are in the mood for a really good sweet treat or need some dessert bites that will please many, make these quick snickers date bites. It’s another version of the snickers date bark that I shared last year, but these seem easier and faster to make. You can make these in around 10 minutes and after that you just freeze them until they harden. You can also make as few or as many as you need this way.

Quick Snickers Date Bites

Ingredients

  • 12-15 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 3 TBSP nut butter of choice – almond, peanut, cashew (Double check the ingredients before purchase. They often sneak in sugar and palm oil. I buy one ingredient nut butters.)
  • Sea salt
  • 2-3 TBSP chopped nuts of choice, I used almonds
  • 1/3 cupĀ Hu Gems (3 ingredients- organic cacao, organic unrefined coconut sugar, organic cocoa butter)

Method

  • Melt chocolate in a small sauce pan over low to medium heat. Stir as it melts. Pit the dates and chop the nuts as you stir here and there.
  • Put the opened up dates side by side so that they touch each other in a glass freezer safe container.
  • Assemble the dates. 1. Add nut butter to the inside of each date. 2. Sprinkle sea salt on the nut butter. 3. Add chopped nuts to each. 4. Drizzle over the melted chocolate. I use a small wooden spoon.
  • Stick in the freezer for 30 minutes or more. Leave stored in the freezer. Let them sit out for around 5 minutes before biting into one. ENJOY!
