Nighttime Soothing Almond Milk Elixir

This nighttime soothing almond milk elixir with warming spices is so soothing to the nervous system, offers a little digestive support, and feels like a big hug. It’s a really great one to wind down for the night with. I’ll sometimes have it right after dinner when I’m not hungry, but want something sweet. It’s not super sweet, but it does the trick and then some. More often though I’ll have it during my wind-down time before bed. Whenever you make this, take the time to savor this self-care in a mug.

Nighttime Soothing Almond Milk Elixir

1 serving

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups almond milk

1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon

1/4 tsp cardamom

2 small dashes of clove

1 small dash of turmeric or even a pinch of saffron if you happen to have that

2 tsp maple syrup or raw honey, maple is extra easy to add in, so I often add that

Method

In a small saucepan on the stovetop, heat up the almond milk, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, and turmeric/saffron over medium heat. Bring to just under a boil, add the maple syrup or honey and whisk in, and pour into your mug. Enjoy!

This nighttime soothing almond milk elixir with warming spices is super soothing to the nervous system, offers a little digestive support, and it just feels like a big hug.
