This nighttime soothing almond milk elixir with warming spices is super soothing to the nervous system, offers a little digestive support, and it just feels like a big hug. It's a really great one to wind down for the night with. I'll sometimes have it right after dinner when I'm not hungry, but want something sweet. It's not super sweet, but it does the trick and then some. More often though I'll have it during my wind-down time before bed. Whenever you make this, take the time to savor this self-care in a mug.
In a small saucepan on the stovetop, heat up the almond milk, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, and turmeric/saffron over medium heat. Bring to just under a boil, add the maple syrup or honey and whisk in, and pour into your mug. Enjoy!
