This is my wellness + beauty packing list for my upcoming trip to Mexico along with some plane snack ideas and other tidbits.
My Wellness + Beauty Packing List For Mexico:
- In my Calpak Carry-On – besides clothing, I packed:
- sleep machine – always packed in my travel bag
- baggu bag (oranges on mine) with extra supplements:
- probiotics – take every morning on empty stomach – I rotate brands
- Liposomal Vitamin C packs
- container filled with:
- oil of oregano – take as needed
- Bloat BFF to help me with food I don’t eat as often
- Magnesium – take two before bed each night for gentle cleansing (code RIANES5 saves 5%)
- Turmeric – take as needed
- Ashwaganda – my favorite adaptogen
- Del Dia Backpack for my personal item – I leave this pretty much empty so I can use it to bring back shopping goods from the trip
- Del Dia Hipback – hidden under my plane sweatshirt to keep my wallet,
- lip balm
- essential oil roller
- hand sanitizer (I pour in a tiny spray container)
- tiny container of digestive enzymes (much needed on vacation when I’m eating foods I don’t always eat) and oil of oregano (to take prior to any places I’m leery about food quality/sanitation if eating raw salads/greens/similar) – it’s also just a good immunity one in general – I have extra of both in a bigger container in my carry-on
- liposomal Vitamin C pack – take one every night or every other night before bed on vacation
- throat lozenge
- throat spray
- sample pack of hand lotion
- little pack of kleenex
- small travel pack of sanitizing wipes – Waterwipes (great for the bathrooms without TP), Everyone wipes, & Honest Company are some go-to brands I look for
- ginger digestion tea packets, spearmint digestion packets, and honey sticks
- Small Calpak Cosmetic Case – Pricey, but made well and I can see everything easily. It’s size is accepted for carry-on liquids on one side. You can always put everything in a quart size bag and then place in one side so you can easily take it out in the airport need be. I might do that. The other side is my makeup.
- sovereign silver – I use it everyday while traveling to boost immunity. It’s great for sore throats, colds/viruses, infections, cuts, rashes, acne, ringworm, pink eye, hand sanitizer need be,…
- rosewater poured in a 2 oz spray bottle – for face and hair
- innersense salt spray for hair in a 2 oz bottle
- rosehip night serum – perfect size for travel with a great mix of lovely oils
- everybody loves the sunshine oil – my daytime oil/moisturizer to use in the morning without spf for a very short while still at our Airbnb and then I’ll apply a face spf over it
- badger spf 30 mineral sunscreen – my favorite spf body lotion, but it comes in 4 oz so I squeeze it into smaller containers…
- badger after balm – after sun care
- save your skin solar recover spray – after sun care
- Similasan eye drops – hard to find, but sometimes I find them at Whole Foods or various natural stores
- free samples of shampoo, conditioner, eye cream, etc. I save for travel since they take no space
- Makeup – I overpacked for vacation here, but they are all small containers and easily fit.
- RMS bronzer
- coral peach cream blush by the Honest Company
- RMS go nude lip pencil
- Ilia Mascara
- RMS 22 – I’m just using this up. If buying new, I would buy this for vacay.
- Kosas blender
- Zuzu Luxe liquid eyeliner in azure
- RMS magic luminizer
- RMS eyelight in sunbeam
- French Girl Lip Tint -rarely use, but bought on a whim in summer
- alima pure eye pencil
- Kosas airbrow
- Kosas eye concealer in 5W
- old eyeshadow pallet with golds and similar
- Some items in Mark’s quart bag that I’ll be sharing
- Dr. Bronner’s peppermint & unscented – for anything we need it for
- toothpaste – squeezed some in small jar
- jojoba oil in small glass container
- more sunscreen
- bug spray – a leftover one from a Tulum hotel, but I have this one too.
- Airplane Snacks
- 2 bananas each
- 3 mandarins each, possibly an apple
- carob muffin brownies – These are dense and hearty so a batch between two of us will hopefully hold us over until we get to Sayulita. We plan on heading straight for a delicious late lunch with our luggage in tow right away
- maybe some pumpkin seeds
- Larabars
- hoping we find some coconut water in the airport which is hydration and healthy glucose to keep us sustained too – we are taking two flights there and back to save some points/$ so it’s a bit longer of a travel day than usual from Chicago to Mexico. I’ll have a green juice while heading out the door at 3:30am to get something green in.
- I also packed dried mango & dried baby bananas from Trader Joe’s for the plane ride back
- rice cakes with avocado or almond butter is another idea
More of my skincare, makeup, hair, travel, and home picks.
