July’s Roundup
- OSEA Undaria Algae Body Butter – This is new for me as of this week, but the word “butter” accurately describes it. I’m currently using it at my desk as hand cream. It’s incredibly softening and the soft grapefruit scent is uplifting. It came in the Golden Glow Discovery, Undaria Body Set – a good value to try out both the popular body butter and body oil. - OSEA Undaria Algae Body Oil – Also new, but I’ve been enjoying putting this on damp skin after my bath the past few nights. Beautiful oils are soaked in seaweed for up to 6 months to make this gem. It’s the same subtle grapefruit scent as the body butter. Citrus can go either way for me, but this one is beautiful and perfect for summer. It came in the Golden Glow Discovery, Undaria Body Set – a good value to try out both the popular body butter and body oil. Shop OSEA: code herhealthystyle10 saves 10% off 1st order
- OSEA Body Brush – This dry brush is the crème de la crème of dry brushes. There is a big difference of quality in bristles compared to my Amazon dry brushes. It feels amazing, is extra comfortable to hold, and makes my skin feel much softer than the others. It is firmer which is beneficial, but if you ever find a dry brush to firm, rub it against an old softer one to soften the bristles. Either way it gets softer with time. I also use less pressure on my upper half vs. my lower half. If it’s your first time using one, it might take some time to get accustomed to it, but it will happen. It’s a vegan brush as well. - Apoterra Neroli Clarifying Complexion Mist – “Nicknamed “liquid gold” by customers, this hydrating mist is your congestion clearing, dullness ditching, vibrant skin pick-me-up.” I couldn’t say it better, so I quoted the bottle. Neroli and immortelle are the top two scents. It smells unique and beautiful. It reminds me of an unclean face polish I loved a long time ago. I spray it on my face right after cleansing (morning & night right now), somewhat pat it down everywhere with my hands, and then apply my remaining skincare which I always switch up. If you shop Apoterra, check out their Vitamin C face balm and Rose & Amyris Grounding Body Oil. Shop Apoterra: code RIANE15 saves 15%

- Living Silica Collagen Booster – A reorder. If you are looking for a collagen boosting product that works, look to silica. Besides benefiting skin, nails, and hair, silica is also great for joints, aches & pains. I keep it in my fridge and take 1 TBSP every morning when I remember. Shop it. Rosemary & Horsetail version.
- bkr 32 oz Glass Water Bottle with silicone protective sleeve – My favorite water bottle I’ve used. It’s glass, looks chic, and is comfortable to hold on to. Yes, it’s super heavy when filled, but generally I’m not walking all over with it. The price tag is steep at $50, but I’ve learned it’s worth every penny for me. I’ve had it a little over a year and have dropped it numerous times without any damage. Last week, however, I happened to drop it just right and cracked the glass bottle. A painful break at $50 and I still chose to replace it. I now learned I could have kept the sleeve and cap and just ordered a $15 glass replacement bottle. If I had access to the garbage, I would have been digging in it. It is hard to clean, but since it’s for water only, it has not been an issue for me. Shop it on Amazon.
- Beast Hydration System Glass & Stainless Water Bottle with detachable diffuser – Before I reordered the bkr bottle, I did a little research to see if I could find a cheaper glass one I liked. It worked against me, since I ordered this too. You can use this one for infusing water or teas. Shop it on Amazon. UPDATE: Even though it’s mostly glass, it has a stainless steel opening to drink from. After switching to glass water bottles, I can always smell stainless steel when it’s right on my lips. I thought the little bit wouldn’t bother me, but it does. Returning it.
- Public Goods Walnut Scouring Pads – Non-toxic, earth friendly, scouring pads that don’t scratch surfaces and REALLY work. I didn’t even mind washing two pans this week – normally those babies would go right in the dishwasher. Plus, they look decent if you leave them out. Cut them in two and it’s a great deal. Shop Public Goods.
- Gaia Liquid Iron – My period was a bit heavier for 2 of the days recently and I was fairly fatigued during those days. While I get iron from many food sources and teas like nettle and dandelion, this is a potent way for me to help up my levels for the time being. I just finished one large bottle and am going to do one more and see how I feel on my next two cycles before stopping it again. In the meantime, I’m aiming to drink daily nettle tea and raspberry leaf. Vitamin C helps our body absorb iron better, so I’m trying to be good about getting that in too. Gaia is a trustworthy company and I’m a big fan of their products. This liquid iron needs to be in the fridge. Shop it on Amazon. You may like this tea post too.
- Organic Olivia’s Liver Juice – A really great blend of herbs in one supplement to support detoxification. Oregon grape root, milk thistle seed, burdock root, dandelion root, fresh turmeric root, bupleurum root, beet root, red root. I’m about two weeks in, but so far I’m liking it. I’ll share more on it as time passes. This is also supposed to make periods easier after consistent use since we are detoxing the liver. Our body is interconnected. Shop it.
- Kosas Reveal Concealer – Loving this new concealer! I apply 3 dots spread out on the orbital bone and use a beauty blender sponge to blend it. There are so many colors which makes it a bit harder to pick. I have 5W, but 3.5 and 3 would have worked too. I can use both neutral and warm tones. Shop it.
