I’ve been enjoying this healthy homemade pumpkin spice creamer in my chicory/dandelion/burdock drink recently and it definitely gives all the cozy feels of the season. It’s a great swap for 95% of store-bought pumpkin creamers that are filled with poor, inflammatory ingredients. Malk is one brand I’ll buy and love, but if you want to save some moola like I like to do sometimes, I’ll make my own.
Healthy Pumpkin Spice Creamer
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk, I use homemade to make it a bit richer, but whatever clean option you have works
- 1/3 cup organic canned pumpkin puree
- 1.5 TBSP maple syrup, more to taste
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp Ceylon cinnamon – If using regular cinnamon start with 1/2 since it’s more spicy. Ceylon is sweeter.
- 1 tsp pure vanilla
Method
- Add everything to a blender and blend for 2-3 minutes.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days.
- Shake well before use each time. Add 2-3 TBSP to coffee alternatives, coffee, almond milk drinks, and whatever else floats your boat. Since we are using actual pumpkin and not fake pumpkin flavor, it’s going to get thicker as it sits. You’ll need to stir it in your drink to mix it. Enjoy the real pumpkin and flavors of the season. Xx
