Cocokind Sunscreen & Rosewater Toner

If you are looking for a non-toxic sunscreen and toner, this post might help you out. I recently came across a clean brand called cocokind and heard lots of good things about some of their products. After running out of sunscreen & toner, I decided to give the brand a try. Is it terrible to say that I love when some products run out? Ha! I love trying out new clean skincare products. There are just so many good ones to choose from! Cocokind sunscreen and rosewater toner feedback coming up. ☺

Cocokind Sunscreen & Rosewater Toner

Cocokind Sunscreen

SPF 32 mineral based zinc face lotion

This is an spf 32 mineral sunscreen for your face and it is marketed as such. You could put it all over your body, but considering the 1.7 oz tube and the cost, I’m thinking you’d want to keep it for your face only, like I do.

Good for all skin types

It’s reviewed highly by those that have sensitive and acne prone skin. Breaking out from sunscreens is common, so if this you, you might want to give this one a try. I personally have dry skin and find it is moisturizing enough without drying me out like many mineral sunscreens tend to do. It’s not greasy either.

No white cast & layers well

I don’t look like Casper the Ghost after! It does not leave any white cast look to my face like many natural sunscreens do. If I have a few layers of skincare products on prior, it takes a little more rubbing in to get the whiteness to disappear, but it quickly rubs in. It also layers over other skincare products really well without any pilling. I can easily apply my makeup afterwards too and it goes/stays on great.

Protects against UVA/UVB, pollution and blue light

It’s ingredients not only protect against UVA rays and UVB rays (spf 32), but also pollution and blue light. The aging effects of blue light never dawned on me until I read about this sunscreen. I never stared at screens as much as I do now, so I guess I’m learning about it at a good time. If you have more knowledge about this, feel free to share in the comment section below! Because of this sunscreen’s pollution and blue light protecting ingredients, I have been trying to wear it every day when I remember.

blue phytoplankton/spirulina maxima extract –  contains phycocyanin, which acts as an antioxidant to help defend skin against oxidative stress and signs of aging from the sun and digital screens while boosting skin radiance

cocokind

microalgae/phaeodactylum tricornutum extract – helps shield skin from the effects of urban living and pollution/dust and fortifies the skin barrier by boosting filaggrin, a key structural protein

cocokind

It’s fragrance free. A must.

There is zero sunscreen smell or fragrance. This sunscreen ticks all the boxes I never knew I wanted in a sunscreen. Probably because it doesn’t feel like sunscreen, have a scent, and feels more like a lotion. The term “facial sunscreen lotion” really does suit it perfectly. I highly recommend it.

Cocokind Rosewater Toner

How you use it.

  • After washing your face & prior to your other skincare, spray a few sprays directly on your face
  • Spray a bit in your hand and put your face lotion or oils in your hand to help emulsify and add more moisture when it goes on your face
  • Use as a setting spray after your skincare to lock in more moisture.
  • Use it as a pick-you-up refresher spray whenever you need it. So many ways to use this toner.

Tones & Hydrates

It tones, balances, calms and hydrates the skin. I have normal to dry skin so I don’t notice the balance and calming effect of the skin as much as I do the hydration. It makes my face feel extra hydrated which many toners don’t do. I feel a lot of them dry me out, and this is probably the most hydrating toner I have used.

Rosewater

This toner is made from steamed rose petals. Rosewater is very hydrating for the skin which is why there are many spritzers that use it. Some toners smell like fake roses because they are poorly made, but this one is the real deal. If you love the smell of roses, you’ll most likely love this smell. If you are like me and don’t love the smell of roses, the scent quickly fades after you spray it. Rosewater is so good for the skin. If you want a different scent, add one drop of frankincense or another great skin oil to the bottle as I sometimes do with rose products.

It’s recyclable.

It’s in a glass bottle and is recyclable with the exception of the spraying mechanism and cap.
