My mom recently asked me about a natural perfume recommendation. I figured if she wanted to know, you may want to know too! So today I am sharing 7 natural perfumes in hopes that you find at least one you will enjoy.
Full discloser, I am not a big perfume wearer. I was so sensitive to scents for years, even essential oils, so I steered clear of everything for a long time. Now I enjoy non-toxic scents again in moderation, but I currently wear a body lotion or a body oil as my “perfume.” With this said, I know of some great natural perfumes that I can share with you.

7 Natural Perfumes
When picking a perfume, we want to make sure we stay away from the oh so toxic “fragrance” or “parfum.” More times than not, there are a bunch of chemicals hidden behind these terms. These chemicals wreak havoc on our lungs/respiratory system, reproductive system, nervous system and more. Also, the term “natural fragrance” is usually still filled with toxic crap, so really look into what’s behind it.
For all of you jasmine lovers, you won’t get much purer than this. Only two ingredients make up this perfume- organic jojoba seed oil and organic jasmine flower extract. “A dark, warm and complex floral nectar – utterly hypnotic” I like that Evan Healy sells samples of their perfumes as well. This way you can try a few out and don’t have to spend a lot to find out that you don’t like one. (When they are not out of stock of samples that is.)
If jasmine is not your thing, evanhealy also makes a sandalwood, patchouli, rose, vetiver, blue cactus, and neroli blossom perfume. I received the neroli blossom perfume in one of their promotions and it leans too warm and floral on me, but it may appeal to you! Plus, scents smell so different on all of us. Body chemistry!
I am really enjoying Evan Healy’s neroli frankincense body oil however. It is not as potent as it is not a perfume, but I still want to mention it here. I love the hint of sweet orange that comes through. It’s a great body oil for spring and summer! I apply it to my arms, neck and chest when I get out of the bath or shower. It is not overpowering, smells good, and makes my skin feel soft. I also got a sample of the sweet blossom body oil which smells so good too! Despite the name, it’s not nearly as sweet as the neroli frankincense. It’s a lighter, more nature-like scent.
A clean, crisp, fresh floral, natural perfume. It’s made with organic fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, and a blend of essential oils and naturally derived plant extracts. Bergamot (citrus smelling), neroli, and jasmine are this perfumes notes. Synthetic fragrances last longer on the skin, so when you transition to natural perfumes you will find they do not last as long. However this brand in particular is known to last fairly long on the skin. If this is your first time transitioning from your conventional perfume, really take a look at Prim Botanicals.
Another one from Prim Botanicals. If you like a more spicy, musky scent, look to this one. You will be smelling of wild rose, sandalwood, and amber.
Vanilla, Wild Jasmine, Lavender, & Lemon. Subtle, but sweet. This is Living Libations best selling perfume. Their perfumes are also spray perfumes instead of a dab or roll on like the others listed here. It’s ingredients are vanilla, jasmine sambac, lavender, lemon, and organic biodynamic alcohol. Although shipping can take a bit long from Living Libations, every product I have received from the company is oh so worth it.
The name alone gets me! You? “Bask in the aroma of a sultry summer night where honeyed-vanilla wafts into the air to mingle with hypnotic unfurling florals of night-blooming jasmine fused with the heady scent of hay heated by an eternal summer’s day.” Ahhh. I’ll take all of that. It’s ingredients are neroli blossoms, jasmine, vanilla, hay, tangerine, massoia bark, blood orange, yuzu, and organic biodynamic alcohol.
“Inspired by various tropical islands in Asia, this natural perfume set radiates with uplifting and unique floral scents. It takes thousands of flower petals to make these exotic oils.” Holistick perfumes are made with pure essential oils, absolutes, and fractionated coconut oil. The floral scents range from light and fresh to more musky. You should like at least 1 out of the 3! HA. Gift any that do not mesh well with your skin and personal scent preference.
Well, I hope you find a new favorite perfume from this list!
