How To Make Salmon In The Wonder Oven

If you have not seen or heard of the Wonder Oven, it’s a 6 in 1 mini oven that looks like an adult easy bake oven. It comes in fun colors, but I went with the color Char for my kitchen. It bakes, roasts, toasts, reheats, broils, and air-fries all while taking up very little space on the counter. I honestly didn’t want to give up any more counter space, but once I saw the dimensions – 11.6″ height, 10.6″ depth, 11.5″ width – I realized I could make it work. I am so glad I did! I mostly wanted it to cut down on microwave use and reheat leftovers, but now that I’ve had it about 6 months, it has essentially replaced my oven when I’m not making big batches of anything. I would say it’s perfect for 1 or 2 people. If you do get one, this is how to make salmon in the wonder oven.

Oh, and did I mention it heats up 75% faster than an oven??? That right there has been worth it to me.

I made 4 so I had leftovers to make summer salmon salad wraps.

How To Make Salmon In The Wonder Oven

Ingredients

  • 2-4 Wild Alaskan Filets – whatever you can get on one small baking sheet
  • optional marinade & seasonings – honey, smoked paprika, sea salt, ground pepper, avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil – sometimes I use a little honey and smoked paprika, other times it’s just a little oil, sea salt, and ground pepper (it depends what I’m pairing it with!)

Method

  1. Preheat the Wonder Oven: Turn the heat to 400, turn it to BROIL, and turn the timer to 10 minutes. It will ding when the 10 minutes is up.
  2. While the wonder oven is preheating, place your salmon on one mini baking sheet. Rub whatever marinade and seasonings you desire on your salmon. I’ve omitted all oil at times and it’s still turned out great.
  3. When the timer dings, the oven is preheated. Place the baking sheet on the bottom rack. Set timer to cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Once the 10 minutes is up, use an oven mitt and pull out the salmon to see if it’s done. It generally needs 3-5 more minutes, but time varies with salmon thickness. Put back in for the desired time.
  5. Remove from the oven and enjoy as you wish!
