Kimberly Snyder's Glowing Green Smoothie

This is a great one to include into your diet to ensure you are getting plenty of greens. If you don't enjoy eating lots of salads or raw fruits and vegetables, a smoothie is an easy way to get it all in. Oh, and yes, it helps give you that GLOW when drank daily.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup of filtered water use refrigerated filtered water to make the smoothie slightly cool
  • 1/2 head of romaine lettuce roughly chopped
  • 3 cups of spinach
  • 2 stalks of celery roughly chopped
  • 1 apple cored and roughly chopped
  • 1 pear cored and roughly chopped
  • One banana
  • 1/2 of a lemon - the peel cut off and seeded
  • Optional - 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro or fresh parsley

Method
 

  1. Add the water, romaine, and spinach to your high speed blender and blend until smooth. Add the celery, apple, and pear to the blender and blend again until smooth. Lastly, add in your banana and lemon and blend. ENJOY!
