- Place the trivet in the bottom of your instant pot and add 1 cup of water.
- Place the washed potatoes on top of the trivet.
- Pressure cook for 14 minutes and then quick release the pressure once the time is done. If your potatoes are older and softer than normal do 13 minutes with a quick release. Enjoy how you wish!
Notes
Note on times: I eat a lot of potatoes and these times never fail me, but occasionally you get an extra hard batch. If you quick release them and they are not quite done, but oh so close, just put the cover back on quickly. The steam inside is enough to cook them slightly. If you really think you need more time, just add on 1 minute or maybe 2, again quick releasing right away. It will take pretty much no time to build pressure and cook that extra minute or two.
