- fill about 75 percent of the blender with mostly spinach and a small amount of kale if on hand curly kale or dino kale
- 1/2 large bunch of celery
- 10 fresh mint leaves a handful of parsley is a good substitute here too
- 1 banana
- 1 apple
- 1 pear
- 1 lemon skin removed
- 1" ginger
- 1 Medjool date
- 1/2 tsp ceylon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup whole flaxseeds 4 TBSP each
- 2 tsp spirulina powder
- optional powders Barley Grass Juice Powder and Amla powder - Amla is better tasting in berry smoothies, but I still add it for the benefits sometimes
- water to blend I fill it about 25% of the way as flaxseeds require more water. I'll sometimes add more yet after blending depending on the consistency. Use cold filtered water if you don't prefer a room temperature smoothie.
Add everything to the blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy as it nourishes and hydrates your cells! I'm using a large 64 oz Vitamix Blender to make this.
