Method
- Heat up 1/2 cup of water in a kettle, teapot or saucepan on the stove.
- Add the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, coconut oil, and black pepper to your cup or mug.
- Pour the hot water into your cup and cover with a small plate to steep for 10 minutes.
- When the 10 minutes is almost up, heat up your almond milk in a small saucepan on the stove.
- Strain out the grated ginger from your ingredients if you wish.
- Pour in the heated almond milk, sweeten with maple syrup, give it a good stir, and enjoy!!
Notes
Some herbalists say not to boil the ingredients to keep the flavors and medicinal properties intact, but if you choose, you can simmer everything together on the stovetop.
