Coconut Turmeric Ginger Warming Broth

This coconut turmeric ginger warming broth warms the insides with the turmeric, ginger, and cayenne in it. The next time you are feeling run down or want a warm hug in a cup, try this simple delicious recipe out.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 quart of vegetable broth
  • 2 " chunk of fresh ginger skin removed and finely sliced in thin strips
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2-1 can of coconut milk start with 1/2 and then add in more depending on taste preference
  • juice of 1/2 - 1 lemon

Method
 

  1. Add the vegetable broth, sliced ginger, ground turmeric, cayenne, and ground pepper to a pot on the stove. Bring to just short of a boil and then simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes. Add in the coconut milk and simmer a few more minutes. Taste and see how much lemon juice you want to add in. I start with 1/2 lemon, taste it, and then decide if I want to add in the other 1/2. Pour in a mug and enjoy!
