Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Ginger Smoothie

This smoothie tastes like a spicy warm summer. You get some zip from the ginger, a warm earthy taste from the turmeric and the additions of pineapple and mango taste like summer. There is also aloe in this smoothie which will get overtaken by the rest of the flavors, but you know that the miracle worker is in there. Drink it for breakfast or as an afternoon pick-me-up and reap the anti-inflammatory healing benefits with this drink.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups of coconut water
  • 1 tsp of turmeric powder
  • 2 " piece of fresh aloe vera
  • 1 inch chuck of fresh ginger
  • 2 cups of pineapple
  • 2 cups of frozen mango OR 1 cup of frozen mango with 1 cup of frozen banana for a sweeter smoothie

Method
 

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
