This super mean green juice recipe is an extra cleansing juice high in chlorophyll. The high chlorophyll content is really evident when you see that beautiful dark green color. I not only love the taste of an extra green juice, I also love the feel it gives me. As silly as it sounds, I really feel this one flooding my cells and my body soaking it up. It’s the best boost of energy. Even if you don’t include the pineapple core (I just go through a lot of pineapples, so I include it often), the lemon and ginger brighten it up and make the rich green juice taste good. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.

Super Mean Green Juice Recipe
Serves 2
Ingredients
- 1 bunch of dinosaur/lacinato kale
- 1 bunch of celery OR 1 large cucumber, I use what I have on hand
- 1/2-1 bunch of parsley
- 1 lemon
- 2″ chunk of ginger
- the core of one pineapple, optional – Save your cores for juicing & blending! The core has a concentrated amount of bromelain (digestive enzymes) that are so beneficial for the gut.
- 3″ chunk of burdock root, omit if you don’t have access to*
*Burdock root is an amazing blood cleanser and great for our skin, nails, and hair. I buy it fresh at Whole Foods. If you don’t have access to fresh, you can also get it dried to steep in teas.
Method
- Wash & cut the produce into the appropriate sizes for your juicer. I run a knife through the parsley so that the stems don’t get caught around the auger in my juicer.
- Run the produce through your juicer & enjoy!
I use the Nama J2 Juicer. The Nama J2 is a cold-pressed juicer that is amazing at both soft and hard produce. Code RIANE55 saves $55 off – Nama J2.
