I am sharing five beauty-ish items I’ve been using daily as of lately. With the extra dry winter weather, most of them have to deal with moisturizing, but one I started to use for a vain reason and I found out I like it for more than just wrinkle prevention! Here are Ri’s Five in clean beauty this month. Oh, and for those of you who don’t know, my name is Riane (pronounced Ryan) and “Ri” is one of my short names.

Ri’s Five
I love these little magic balm tins. I’ve been using the unscented one on my hands every night before I go to bed and at least once during the day. My hands are dry since I’m always washing something in the sink and this helps. My skin looks better and my hands feel softer after using it. If it was not a small tin, I would douse my entire body in it. I do apply it to my heels once in awhile, but I have not been faithful with it. You can use it on any areas that are dry or chapped. It even removes makeup, although I have never used it for that yet.
Saje Coco Lips and Tingle Lips are the lip balms I’ve been using this winter. As much as I like Dr. Bronner’s peppermint and naked lip balms, they just don’t cut it in the wintertime for me. These lip balms are very moisturizing and I don’t have to constantly reapply. Oh, and the Tingle Mint is not that tingly, just a little minty and refreshing, and the Coco Lips is fairly scentless, just moisturizing. I recommend both.
I’ve also been using this Saje Lip Salve each night before I go to bed. I’m sure it’s also why my lips feel really moisturized this winter compared to previous years. It’s not sticky like most salves and is really nourishing with the coconut and shea butter. The spearmint adds a nice little scent to it.
I go in spurts with being good with a full skincare routine. On the nights I’m just tired and don’t feel like layering up, I turn to this inexpensive jojoba oil. It’s lightweight but super moisturizing. I also added a good amount of frankincense oil to the bottle. My husband, who also uses this, says the addition of frankincense makes it seem like a much nicer face oil. I have to agree. Frankincense is great for the skin too.
This is the one I started to use for a vain reason – lines/wrinkles. I like to sleep buried in blankets with pretty much just my breath open to the air. Sleeping sideways all crunched tends to be the most comfortable for me. It also gives me major chest lines. I know lines are natural and inevitable, but I am not trying to speed up the process.
So I’ve been really trying to fall asleep on my back and stay there longer. I then realized I needed to turn my neck far to the side right away to burry my eyes in the pillow. It makes me feel more snuggled up that way! HA. So I thought maybe wearing an eye mask and having it extra dark might give me that dark and snuggled feeling without having to crank my neck or scrunch up. It does! I also think it puts me to sleep faster. It’s just another signal to my body that it’s time for bed. It’s still early, so I’m not sure I’ll stick with it, but I’ve been liking it so far! I just grabbed an eye mask I had for years and I’m not sure what beauty bundle it came in, so I’m sharing the Saje Eye Mask below.
Grateful you are following along! xx, Riane
