Visual Process

Start by baking raw almonds for 5 minutes.

Then add the baked almonds to a bowl and mix in the maple syrup.

Now mix in the cinnamon and the nutmeg if you are using it. I add both cinnamon and freshly ground nutmeg. If you like nutmeg, I would add in a pinch for a little more spice.

The almonds are now ready to be placed back on the baking sheet and put in the oven again.

Try to make sure they are somewhat spread out and in a single layer.

Halfway through, pull them out of the oven and give them a good stir.

Ahhh, the smell of roasted nuts. If you have never smelled roasted nuts before, you are in for a treat.

Let them cool down slightly, but definitely try a warm maple cinnamon roasted almond. You might not want to share!

Although these taste so good warm, they still taste delicious once cooled. Just make sure you do not cover them in any container until fully cooled.

I actually do not know how long these keep since they don’t last long enough to find out, but I’m assuming a week or possibly more in a covered container.

ENJOY!
