January’s Amazon Buys along with a little of December since I skipped over that month.
January’s Amazon Buys
There are so many benefits to nettle. Here are just some of the many benefits to this herb:
- natural diuretic which reduces fluid retention
- keeps our urinary tract flowing smoothly
- is great for bones & joints
- gives our a immune system a boost
- it’s anti-radiation
- high in iron and magnesium as well as Vitamin A, E, D, C, & K
- helps with the adrenals & regulating hormones – estrogen/progesterone, reproductive health
- helps with any cramps especially when combined with raspberry leaf tea
Forewarning, nettle tea tastes grassy, earthy, and hay-like. I enjoy the taste, but I just want to warn you before you buy the biggest bag that you never end up using. The FGO bags are HUGE, so unless you drink a lot of tea, I would skip it and grab some tea bags to start.
Just the best teapot ever. If you enjoy steeping whatever your heart desires, order it and thank me later. I wrote about it at length along with tea storage, tea kettles, and more in this post.
A good source of iodine and one of the five ingredients in the heavy metal detox smoothie that helps remove heavy metals from our body.
This is a reorder since we are going on vacation in February and I want to have it on hand after being in the hot sun. While I currently use it as a moisturizing spray on my face and body, it’s also an after-sun moisturizer and sunburn remedy. It contains Vitamin E and Calendula amongst it’s other clean ingredients. I’ll be pouring the large bottle into a smaller one for travel.
A stainless steel squeezer to match my kitchen since it’s pretty much always out. I’m taking my older yellow one to our cottage to be put to use there.
I bought these just incase we pack too much in our Cotopaxi backpacks for vacation. We don’t check bags.
I told my husband that we are going to have a sushi date night coming up. Supposedly this makes it easier to roll? We’ll find out.
For the sushi rolls.
To top the sushi rolls.
We use these to wipe our counters sometimes. You can cut them in half if you want a smaller size too. Just know that they don’t scrub… a sponge cloth is an accurate description of it.
It was pretty much a must for me since my new larger Vitamix wouldn’t blend small amounts of anything well. Cashew cheese, small amounts of dressings, grinding up nuts…. it’s been a game changer. I use it way more than I thought too.
I used to dive into Medical Medium’s books (especially Liver Rescue), and read everything over and over so I could apply the information when I was working through my symptoms. While I don’t open his books that often anymore, I always know where to go if I need something. This is one of his two newer books and I just wanted to grab it so I had it on hand.
Besides the amazing brains shots in this book, there are a lot of new recipes in the back that I want to check out. You can always look to his website for information as well. I resort to it often myself.
Another reorder. My husband uses jojoba oil as his main daily moisturizer. I use it often too. There are just so many uses for it, one of them being a good makeup remover.
My last cheap buffer from a beauty store had seen its day after years. This one looked decent so I ordered it. I would not order it again though. While it works, it’s not going to last long and I don’t like to purposely pollute the environment with stuff like this. If you have a better one, please share in the comments below. I’d love to know for next time.
Thanks so much for joining me here! Xx Riane
