Immune Boosting Lemon Ginger Shots

Feeling run down or just want to stay well? Try out these immune boosting lemon ginger shots with optional add-ins. I prefer to take them as a shot as they are the most potent this way, but I also splash them into my water sometimes. Due to this reason, I left out raw garlic this time, since I don’t prefer garlic water, but if you are solely taking them as an extra beneficial shot, feel free to add in raw garlic or even raw turmeric. After you are done juicing the shots, you can also sprinkle in a dash of cinnamon, cayenne, or even stir in some raw honey. We have so many options to play around with!

I sprinkled in a dash of cayenne to this mix for even more health benefits. These wide mouth 2 oz juice shot bottles are easy to clean, don’t leak for me, and can be used for more than juice shots.

Immune Boosting Lemon Ginger Shots

Makes around 8 oz or 4 shots in my Nama J2 Juicer. Fill shot jars close to the top so that there is less oxidation. This helps preserve the nutrients. Drink shots within 1-3 days of making. Of course the sooner you drink it after juicing it, the better (more enzymes).

Ingredients

  • 6″ organic ginger, I leave the skin on and just wash super well
  • 4 lemons, I leave the peels on as there are benefits in the peel, but it does make the shot a tad more bitter. Of course wash the peels extra well if you choose to juice the peel too. I still cut them to remove the seeds and make it easier on the juicer.
  • optional juicer add-ins, raw garlic cloves or raw turmeric
  • optional add-ins after juicing – cayenne, ceylon cinnamon, or even raw honey if you desire

Method

  1. Wash & cut the produce into the appropriate sizes for your juicer. 
  2. Run the produce through your juicer & enjoy!
