Smoothie bowls are on heavy rotation for lunch or an afternoon snack when I’m in the mood for something sweet. To make them more satisfying and filling, I’ve been adding a scoop of Sunwarrior’s Collagen Building Protein Peptides Powder to them. It contains plant-based amino acids & peptides, Vitamin C, trace minerals, leafy greens, silica, biotin, hyaluronic acid, and tremella mushroom. It comes in flavored (extra sweet with the stevia in it) or unflavored depending on your desires. While unflavored is the cleanest option in my opinion, I buy the vanilla flavor too sometimes. While it is extra sweet for my taste-buds, it feels like dessert. The vanilla flavor also pairs well with both mango and berries – both of which I use in smoothie bowls most often. If you’re not a fan of stevia, you can always get the unflavored protein powder and add 1 tsp vanilla powder or extract to it if you want some vanilla flavor. I do this too sometimes. When making your collagen building protein peptides smoothie bowl, play around with different fruits and possibly add on some toppings to keep your taste-buds happy!

Collagen Building Protein Smoothie Bowl
1 serving – you can easily add more fruit to make it more filling as well! My needs vary day-to-day.
Ingredients
2 frozen bananas, sliced OR 2 fresh bananas
1 cup water or coconut water if using frozen bananas, 1/3 cup if using fresh bananas – add a bit more if you desire a less thick consistency or your blender needs help
1 heaping cup frozen berries of choice/mixed berries or frozen mango
1 scoop Sunwarrior’s Collagen Building Protein Peptides Powder – option to add 1 tsp vanilla if using the unflavored version
optional toppings: berries, sliced bananas, coconut flakes, granola
Method
Add everything but the optional toppings to a high speed blender. I use the tamper that comes with a Vitamix to help it along. Keep liquid to a minimum if you desire a super thick ice cream-like consistency or add a bit more water if you prefer it less thick or need to help your blender along. Blend until creamy. Use a spatula to add the mixture to a bowl. Top with toppings if desired. Enjoy immediately.
Vitamix Recommendations: I currently have the 3500 with the 64 oz wide container (it was solely the design/appearance that won me over with this model). I had the 5200 model with the narrow container (easier model to use in many ways) for 10 years prior to the motor finally dying out after tons of use.
