- Provides a big energy boost along with endurance – beet juice is known to be a great one for athletes.
- Improves Brain Health
- Lowers High Blood Pressure if consumed regularly
- Helps Purify the Blood
- Helps feed healthy bacteria in the gut.
- A great one to juice for women during our cycle. Beetroot helps with hormone balance. You’ll often find it in wellness products like this Liver Juice.
- Beets are higher in water than you might think making it an extra great one to juice.
One caveat with beets – they are SO MESSY with their inky red color. It’s worth it though. Be sure to buy Non-GMO beets.

BEET FENNEL BURDOCK JUICE RECIPE
Makes about 32 oz in my Nama J2 Juicer – Serves 2
INGREDIENTS
- 2 fennel bulbs, discard the very bottom core, juice the rest
- 3 beets, I leave the peel on organic beets, but you can peel too – you can also juice beet greens and stems or add them to soups!
- 4″ burdock root, I peel since I find them extra hard to clean, I buy at Whole Foods – just omit if can’t get
METHOD
- Wash & cut the produce into the appropriate sizes for your juicer. I cut the beets and fennel in four sections and then add them to the juicer. You can really add the beets whole to the Nama, but I like to be more gentle on my juicer.
- Run the produce through your juicer & enjoy!
