Batch Juicing Tips + Video:
Cold Pressed Juices retain a good amount of nutrients up to 72 hours in the fridge. Of course fresh is always ideal as it contains the most enzymes/nutrients, but it’s still beneficial to drink up to 72 hrs. If it’s a matter between juicing and not juicing, absolutely batch juice!
Fill your glass containers up to the tippy top so that there is very little air for oxidation. This is when stored in the fridge. If storing in the freezer, leave about an inch as liquid expands when frozen. Frozen Juices last well up to a month in my opinion. Some say 3 months…
Adding lemons or limes preserves juices as well. For this reason, I personally wouldn’t batch juice plain celery juice. I’ve done it and I didn’t feel the cleansing effect & vitality from it like I do when it’s juiced day of – not even close. My husband Mark didn’t either. I would still juice that fresh each day or possibly freeze it right away if you can’t do it daily.
Make sure you are using a cold-pressed juicer. Many mainstream juices have a high pressing speed that heats up the nutrients more – you want to drink those juices right away.
I have the Nama J2 juicer which easily lends itself to batch juicing. I also have the larger hopper and large pitcher set accessories shown in video which makes it even easier. If you are in the market for a juicer, Code RIANE55 saves $55 off the Nama J2 Juicer and 10% off all.
